Streamer Spotlight – MrDartsBroadcast

This week’s spotlight focuses on a relatively new streamer, who has amassed a butt-load of followers in only 5 months and plays a variety of games, including State of Decay 2, Forza Horizon 4, Call of Duty and Dead by Daylight.

MrDartsBroadcast, a.k.a The Gentleman Gamer, who minds his p’s and q’s, says please, thank you, never swears and keeps innuendo to a minimum is a really great streamer who constantly interacts with chat and makes everyone feel at home.  MrDart is very much a father figure to his community, taking everyone under his wing.  He further expands this love by adding “I’ll be your Dad” to his sub perks (sign me up!).  His streams are always interesting to watch because of the variety of games he plays.  MrDart is a big fan of State of Decay 2 (the developers love him too) and has some mad skills at the game, constantly taking part in new challenges.  He also plays Forza Horizon 4, taking us around the beautiful scenery of that game, as well as playing the odd round of Fortnite with two of the much-loved, younger members of his community, who are also dear friends to me, duo TallGuy and RemotelyPeachy.  These three people really bounce off each other and are really entertaining to watch when multiplaying.

We are often treated to a Red Room session in which MrDart cracks open a G&T, lays down his gentleman mask and has a good sesh whilst playing Dead by Daylight.  The rules are forgotten when these evenings occur we find that swearing and NSFW doesn’t result in a disapproving look from the man himself, who is too busy kicking ass in the game.

This guy is definitely one to watch, really puts the focus in, especially since he also has a real-life job too so deserves every follow he gets.

gods
This week’s streamer spotlight falls on not one, but two of my best friends, godsendss and 50cal_gal. G is a self described “scaffolder by day, streamer by night” and began streaming at the same time as myself, around March this year. Gods primarily plays Hunt: Showdown and particularly likes his duos with epic streamer PartisanTurbine64. Gods is very dry, you might also say King of the Trolls, so you may find that his chat also enjoy trolling him by hanging out in PT64’s chat and bribing him with bits to kill Gods, his duo partner. Gods also played a lot of Darwin Project and Overwatch before Hunt took over his life. Watching him play Hunt in duos with PT64 is definitely not to be missed as the craic and dry humour is immense and always gets a laugh of everyone who stops by. He also occasionally lets his kids play Fortnite with our boi Noodle3000 so those streams are also good fun to watch.
Mrs godsendss, a.k.a 50cal_gal started streaming initially due to one of gods’ pranks-gone-wrong. Gods thought it would be really funny to let his wife play some Fortnite on one of his streams. At that point, 50 had never played a game in her life, let alone streamed so everything was totally new to her. Gods thought he might show her up and get a laugh out of everyone but it turned out that 50’s personality and general conversation got him more views than his own personal streams, gave 50 a new love for gaming and streaming and lost him his PC when she demanded he share it with her when she decided to start streaming too.
50cal_gal is a really down to Earth streamer who likes to play World of Warcraft, Dead by Daylight and recently, Hunt: Showdown. 50 gets scared pretty easily and has a tendency to scream (like a girl, but we’ll allow that since she is one) when playing DBD but this only makes for a really entertaining stream. You also wouldn’t wanna mess with 50 as she’s hardcore and practises MMA. We all know who wears the trousers in this relationship 😉

These guys are absolutely brilliant, always a joy to hang out with and definitely worth a follow.

Streamer Spotlight – Noodle3000

This week’s Streamer Spotlight falls on a good friend of mine and all-round awesome streamer, Noodle3000.

Noodle started streaming early doors this year and already has a following of more than 800 Twitchers.  He’s a variety streamer who plays games such as Fortnite (primarily), Dead by Daylight, Call of Duty, Overwatch and They Are Billions.  In real life, Noodle is a mechanic and has a busy working week but always manages to put a stream in every single day.

Noodle3000 spends a lot of time playing Fortnite and incidentally, is a pretty damn good player.  He is also a member of the B42 gaming community and participates in their community events.  His streams are flirty, cheeky, down to earth and no holds barred; even okay for the kids (which is more than I can say for mine!).  In fact, Noodle is such a sweet dude that he even plays Fortnite with the son of one of our well-loved community members, godsends.  Noodle makes everyone who drops by his streams feel welcome and part of the group and he never lets anything put a dampener on his mood – even the time there were repeated power cuts at his house which corrupted all his Streamlabs files mid-stream and kept knocking his Internet off.

A streamer definitely worth checking out, even if just purely for his cheeky personality, Noodle3000 is up there with the best new streamers and even has a merchandise store if, like me, you really wanted a t-shirt with that awesome little bowl of noodles logo on.

Halloween streams and streamer spotlights

I was thinking of ideas for blog posts and I thought that there is one thing I have an abundance of and that is streamer friends and I really love to support them and great streamers in general so I thought it would be cool to do streamer spotlight posts, highlighting people I’ve come across that are really awesome and deserve tons of recognition.  I will be starting my spotlight posts with a streamer who I have been friends with now from the start and am so proud of because he really does give it his everything and puts in so much time and effort – noodle3000.  I’m hoping to post one of those every week, so will be aiming to post noodle’s spotlight by the end of the week, so watch this space.

It’s been such a busy week for me.  I finally got some finance so have bought a new car.  Well, you know, not new new but newer than the one I had and it’s safe and sturdy.  I spent most of Tuesday sorting that out, spent some time with one of my friends last night, have streamed tonight, pick my car up on Saturday, help my dad set up his new Amazon Echo (funny story for another time) and then on Sunday pop over to see my mum.  So basically I have tomorrow night free and I decided to do a Halloween stream.

We had a Halloween party last year that we pretty much went all out on it and it was fancy dress.  I got a last minute skeleton dress and Dave painted my face, so I’ll ask him to do that again for me tomorrow and I’m gonna get a group of people together and play some Dead by Daylight.  I’m always cannon fodder/bait/decoy so we’ll see how it pans out.

It’s safe to say I’m pretty shit at it.

Kate’s Diary 19th October – A rare vlog

So, um, I don’t usually do this. I kind of like to maintain the happy upbeat persona. But when someone you love is sad or upset and you feel helpless, you can’t help but be overcome with your emotions. They kind of spill out, no matter how hard you try and keep them in.

Today was Dave’s dad’s funeral. His dad wrote his own eulogy. He mentioned me. It broke me. And Dave broke. He never cries and it hurt so much to see him like that because I couldn’t do anything about it other than hold his hand and be there. This is the hardest thing we have been through together and we’ve been through a lot.

I make a lot of video diaries that never see the light of day. But I wanted to share this one because I found it easier to express my feelings in my body language and facial expressions than words.

Kate’s Diary 18th October 2018 – It’s been kinda hard

Wow it’s been a while since I posted!  There has been so much going on / gone on that I’ve kind of had to prioritise and whilst I would have loved to have blogged to vent, I struggled to find the right words.  So I streamed instead.  I put a good deal of effort into streaming.  And when I wasn’t streaming I was trying to be there for my boyfriend, whose dad sadly passed away a fortnight ago so everything was a bit up in the air, we didn’t know whether we were coming or going and both our schedules went to pot really.  It was hard.  It was also exacerbated by the fact that my grandad also passed away and I wasn’t able to go to his funeral due to work commitments.  I’ve felt a little lost with ideas for blog posts to be fair, hence this one of mostly rambling.

I’ve met a lot of new people who have joined our little community of gamers so I have made a lot of new friends, which I am grateful for because they have all checked in with me regularly and made sure me and Dave are okay, especially godsendss and 50cal so I’m genuinely really really grateful to have them around.

We have the funeral to attend tomorrow so I’m not really sure what kind of mood either of us will come back in to say whether I will be blogging properly or whether we’ll just be chilling watching TV or whether he will stay out and get drunk and give his dad a good send off.  Either way, if I drop off the radar for a bit, you know why.

When streamers get together…

I’ve not long got back home from spending the day in Whitby.  Me and my boyfriend met up with a couple of our streamer friends who happened to be spending the weekend there and since it’s not far from us at all and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity, we ventured out this morning and met them there.

Oh my goodness I haven’t laughed so hard for ages.  It’s been many, many years since I’ve had real life friends to spend any time with so this was a big deal for me and it was the magic medicine I’ve needed for a long time.  It was so much fun that my smile muscles hurt by the end of the day and as soon as we left them to go to the car, I actually felt really sad cos I missed them already.

It’s weird how you just instantly feel at ease around some people, like you’ve known them for years, and this is exactly how I felt around godsendss and 50cal so I can’t wait to hang out with them again.  I realise there’s still a stigma about meeting people you’ve met on the Internet but I can safely say after today that this is a great thing to do and streamer meet ups, for anyone who hasn’t arranged one, should definitely be a thing.  These two people, who I basically met when I streamed randomly one day back in March when I was giving Twitch a go for the first time and gods showed up in my chat that day and every stream after.  These two people who could quite easily become very close friends in real life.  Anyway, before I go all gooey and lose my credibility with gods, here are a few snaps of our outing today!
